Like Champions, Workers can be assigned to various rooms in your shelter to assist with crafting, production, or defense. They also can be leveled up in the Training Grounds, they can be given equipment, and use the same stat system as Champions. Unlike Champions, they do not have unique appearances (their names and appearances are randomly generated), they do not have combat skills, and cannot be sent on expeditions or missions. They do occasionally appear in H-scenes, but their faces are always indistinct or hidden in some way.
It should be noted that any Workers other than Legendary should be considered “temporary”, at least in the early game. When you are starting out, they can help work rooms when you only have a few Champions. However, you quickly start to get a lot of Champions and will start running out of room and be forced to send some of the Workers to live at the nearby villages. So you don't want to over invest in leveling up Workers beyond level 5 at the beginning of the game.
Also keep in mind that even Legendary Workers are worse than Common Champions. It may not always look to be the case, but since Common Champions can earn Trust Ranks to boost their stats, along with the normal levels that both Workers and Champions get, a Common Champion will always end up having better stats than a Legendary Worker in the long run.
You will get a few new Workers as part of the Campaign Story. You can also get 13 Legendary Workers from achievements. However, the majority of your workers will come from the Radio Station. // NOTE: due to trust rework some achivements are currently broken!
The Legendary Workers feature some familiar names. |
To get rid of unwanted Workers, you can send them to live and work at the nearby villages by double clicking them and pressing the <SEND OFF> button. Once they are gone there is no way to get them back. Make sure to prioritize leveling your Champions rather than Workers you may one day send away!
Any equipment being worn by a Worker that is sent away should be returned to your inventory - but you can always unequip it first just to be safe.
You can also get rid of Workers by going to the Shelter Overview and selecting the Workers Tab. |
If you get rid of a Legendary Worker - intentionally, by accident, or even by bug - you can go to your achievements page and restore them there. When you do this, they will have the same name, appearance, and stat distribution but they'll be reset to level 1.
Workers can match the Waifus. |
